Overview

    Established in 2011, Architectural Environment and Energy Application Engineering aim to cultivate compound engineering application talents with all-round development of moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetics and meet the requirements of regional economic and socialist market economic development. They should be well equipped with basic theoretical knowledge and professional capability. After proper basic training, they can undertake work in construction and installation, operation management, design and system guarantee in the field of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, cold and heat source and gas, etc.

Objective

This specialty aims to cultivate compound engineering application talents with all-round development of moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetics. They should meet the requirements of regional economic and social development; grasp basic theories and elementary knowledge in the specialty of architecture environment and energy engineering. After basic training in engineering, with basic abilities in construction, management, supervision and design of HAVC and water supply and sewerage works, these application talents can undertake work in construction and installation, operation management, system guarantee and design.

 

Core Curriculum

Heating engineering, HVAC, architecture environment measurement, air conditioning refrigeration technology, heat transfer, engineering thermodynamics, pipe network for fluid supply, heat transfer principle and equipment, boiler and boiler house equipment.

1. This specialty sets the required basic theoretical knowledge in its field, including courses like heat transfer, fluid mechanics, engineering thermodynamics, architecture environment, material mechanics, engineering mechanics - statics, architecture conspectus, project management, engineering economics, computer, architecture electric, electrical technology& electrical engineering, automatic control theory, mechanics, etc..   

2. This specialty places emphasis on fostering students’ practical ability and creativity. After learning plenteous practical courses, the students can meet the requirement for site engineers in the front line after their graduation.  

3. This specialty pays attention to students’ application ability cultivation, establishing a laboratory-opening mechanism based on key laboratory and disciplinary platform. The construction of professional tutor system provides support for cultivating application-oriented talents of engineering and carrying out individuation cultivation.

With the development of science and technology, green building and building energy-saving is mentioned more and more frequently in the construction industry. Heating, ventilation, air conditioning and gas in this specialty plays an important role in green building and atmospheric environmental quality. Thus, students majoring in this field will become the main advocate for the green building technology and the implementer in good indoor environment and healthy life. Based on such situation, the college can cultivate building environment engineering---the software and methodology facing the simulation and prediction of indoor building and regional environment, as well as the architecture energy resources engineering--the software and methodology facing the simulation and prediction of energy consumption. As the students have good understanding of building equipment, the college can cultivate building equipment engineering---the designing methodology facing building equipment. In the meantime, the college can also cultivate salesperson for building equipment. The graduates can also find a position in designing institute, real estate company, property management company, product producing and marketing company, engineering technology and management department, high-tech product and R&D department, and college and university, etc..
